A Domestic Violence Shelter Program Serving
Middle Tennessee Communities For Over 25 Years.
The survival of the HomeSafe program and the continued provision of services for survivors of domestic violence is dependent upon the financial contributions from the community.
Cash donations are used to cover general operating expenses of the program and shelters.
HomeSafe does receive funding from the State, Federal and local governments, United Way, The Memorial Foundation, The Community Foundation and other local and private foundations and corporations.
We also rely on tangible donations from the community.
The on-going needs of the program include:
* Gift Cards from local businesses that can be redeemed by survivors for specific needs (Example: Wal-Mart, Kroger, Lowes, gasoline cards).
* Paper Products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins)
* Non-Perishable food (canned vegetables and fruits, canned tuna, skillet dinners, pasta and sauces, rice, ethnic foods, kid friendly meals)
* Cleaning Products (laundry detergent, dish liquid, bleach, any Green Works cleaning products, rubber gloves, mops, brooms, scotch brite scrubbers).
* 1st Aid / Medicine Cabinet supplies (Tylenol for adults and kids, cough syrup, band-aids, 1st aid cream, etc.)
* Personal Need Items (soap, shampoo, conditioners, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Kotex / tampax).
* Household Items (pillows, twin blankets, twin comforters, pillow cases).
