“Honkytonkin’ for HomeSafe”, the event held on January 9th to benefit HomeSafe of Wilson County was a great success despite the cold and icy road conditions! Thanks to all who donated their time, services, and items for the silent auction.

The Wild Turkey Ranch was the perfect venue for the dinner and the live country music performed by celebrity guest, Jeremy McComb, and the Nashville band, Gary Gibson & The Chicken Chasers. Grand Ole Opry star, Johnny Counterfeit, made an impromptu performance delighting the audience with his unique comedic impressions. The event would not have been possible without the generous support of the community, including the support of Mayor Phillip Craighead and his lovely wife who were in attendance.

The event raised approximately $3000 for HomeSafe of Wilson County, the local domestic violence shelter. “Honkytonkin’ for HomeSafe” is anticipated to become an annual event. For more information on how you can support the mission of HomeSafe of Wilson County, please call 615-444-6130.
